STEVENS POINT – In a little while, my wife and I will walk down to the Portage County Library to check out some items. She’ll grab a couple of audio books for commuting to and from work. I’ll nab a few music CDs and a book or two for research.
Likely the bank of computers available to the public will be full, populated ...by people of all ages who need to get on the Internet but don’t have it at home. Parents and children will be toting big stacks of books and movies to the checkout counter, joining senior citizens who hold their own cache of items. Once you become a library patron, you’re not likely to ever give up the habit.
