- I was born on July 21, 1951 in Chicago, IL. I changed my college course work from political science to study acting at Juilliard. My teacher, famed producer and actor John Houseman, encouraged me to pursue stand-up comedy.
My classmates at Redwood High School in Larkspur, CA, named me "Least Likely to Succeed."
I adlibbed most of my dialouge as the genie in Disney's animated whirl, "Aladdin"
