On Sept. 28th while Ahamdinejad was suppose to attend the opening ceremony of the new academic year in Tehran University, many students in protest to the coup government and in support for the Green movement attended a demonstration in Tehran University. This made Ahmadinejad to cancel his plan. They were chanting Green slogans such as “Ya Hossein, Mir Hossein”, “Death to dictatior” , Student will die but won’t accept disgrace” , “where is my vote?”, “we are all Neda and Sohrab, we are all one call” , “coup government, Resign..Resign”, “Detained students must be release”, “Liar Ahmadinejad, where is your 63% votes?” and etc...We are countless!

Hi you all,
I am Gazelle, as I have told you all a few times before. I am really not comfortable with revealing my name, for all the obvious reasons, but when I, as this pages creator, see that it is necessary for you all to relate to this page on a level with more trust, I don't hesitate, I find this cause much more important than my own personal opinions and fears.
This page is governed by five different admins, myself included. Of those five, 3 of us are Americans. So as that portraits, this not an anti American page. We consider ourselves as fellowhumans.
One of the admins posted up a photoshop manipulated picture of Obama and Ahmadinejad, and I saw that there has been much turmoils around that, so I decided to remove the picture from the wall, put it up here and invite for an open discussion about it.
For our American friends, this picture is in no way intended to offend either of you. It does illustrate a controversy, and that about your new president whom brought with him self the concept of hope, which is so intensely needed in your great nation after somewhat devastating years in politic and history. I can relate to how that can be a very sensitive issue for you and fire you all up. So I apologize to all of you that has taken offense to this picture. We are all civilized people, and the greatest wish and hope for any civilization is the coexistence in peace and harmony. This is a page, with respect for human life and rights, no matter the region of this world.
Alas, I have to also ask for your understanding. The regular human in Iran, does NOT see America as the enemy, even though the government has tried to brainwash them for over 30 years. Actually, the regular Iranian idolize America ALLOT! But most of these Iranians also remembers how the American politicians and politic has damaged our country for almost a century now. I am not claiming that we are accusing Obama to be doing the same, but as he came with the slogan "Change" we can not see why that doesn't apply to the PEOPLE of Iran. As the President of America, this man KNOWS that what he says does NOT only apply for USA? Excuse my language, but FUCK the government of Iran!!!! Why would he want to please THEM? Let Ahmadinejad scream his lounges out blaming the USA; the Iranians will STILL never believe him!!!! The Iranians are actually highly intellectual and educated people, the political awareness in Iran amongst regular people is AMAZINGLY high! Obama knows that!
With that said, most of us understand how his hands are tied up, he sure did not get to be president in an easy era. Still, I can relate to how some people would demand more bravery from his side. Yes he did send us a Nowrouz greetings, but I bet you if he sent THE PEOPLE OF IRAN the message of acknowledgment and support, and simply that, he would seriously not need to do much more than that, he would have all our support and loyalty for real!
Again, to all our American friends, thank you for your support! As the support from any human beings, it is priceless for us! Thank you!
As you all bring this discussion further, I beg of you to remember that this is honestly not about us at all. We all gathered here as a token of support for all the brave souls, fighting with their lives at stake, in Iran these days, claiming FREEDOM!

TEHRAN (AFP) – Iran's police chief warned the opposition on Tuesday against using an annual pro-Palestinian march to stage protests against President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the official IRNA news agency reported.
"The Quds Day (march), which is to express support for oppressed Palestinians and condemn occupiers, should not be tainted for political purposes," Esmail Ahmadi Moghadam said.
"Derailing Quds Day would be added to the fraud folder for showing the true colours of those who direct this view," he said in apparent warning to leaders of the opposition, who charge that Ahmadinejad's June re-election was rigged.
According to their websites, supporters of defeated candidates known as the greens plan to pour on to Tehran's streets again in the annual state-sponsored Quds Day demonstration, which will be held this year on September 18.
Opposition leader and defeated candidate Mehdi Karroubi vowed that his supporters will come out in force on the day, and Ahmadinejad's main rival Mir Hossein Mousavi has also called for continued civil disobedience.
The mass demonstrations after June's election gripped the Iranian capital for a week, and ended only after a heavy security crackdown. Thousands of protesters still managed to stage sporadic demonstrations later, however.
Baton-wielding police were swift to break up gatherings, identifying demonstrators who wore green.
In a bid to prevent opposition gatherings, the authorities have replaced traditional speakers such as reformist former president Mohammad Khatami with hardliners during some ceremonies during the current holy month of Ramadan.
On Monday officials also raided an office run by Mousavi's top aide and seized documents, Etemad newspaper reported.
The aide, Alireza Beheshti, has disputed the official toll of 30 victims in the post-election protests, claiming that in fact 72 people were killed.

Le manifestazioni massicce dopo le elezioni di giugno immobilizzarono la capitale iraniana per una settimana e non finirono che dopo repressioni pesanti da parte della forze di sicurezza. Migliaia di dimostranti poterano nondimeno inscenare dimostrazioni sporadiche piú tardi.

Lunedí, gli ufficiali fecero una incursione in un ufficio dell’aiutante principale di Moussavi e s’impadronirono di documenti, rapportò il giornale Etemad.
L’aiutante, Alireza Beheshti, ha disputato l’elenco ufficiale di 30 vittime nelle proteste post-elezione, pretendendo che difatti 72 persone furono uccise.

نیزه های آتشین و خیمه های دود

میوه تلخ درخت وحشی زقوم

ناز ده کس را شرار تازه ای در دل
دوزخش از ضجه های درد خالی بود
دوزخش بیهوده می تابید و می افروخت
تا به این بیهودگی رنگ دگر بخشد
او به من رسم فریب خلق را آموخت
من چه هستم خود سیه روزی که بر پایش
بندهای سرنوشتی تیره پیچیده

از چه میگویی حرامست این می گلگون؟
در بهشت جویها از می روان باشد
هدیه پرهیزکاران عاقبت آنجا
حوری یی از حوریان آسمان باشد
می فریبی هر نفس ما را به افسونی
می کشانی هر زمان ما را به دریایی
در سیاهیهای این زندان می افروزی
گاه از باغ بهشتت شمع رویایی
ما اگر در این جهان بی در و پیکر
خویش را در ساغری سوزان رها کردیم
بارالها باز هم دست تو در کارست
از چه می گویی که کاری ناروا کردیم؟
در کنار چشمه های سلسبیل تو
ما نمی خواهیم آن خواب طلایی را
سایه های سدر و طوبی ز آن خوبان باد
بر تو بخشیدیم این لطف خدایی را
حافظ ‚ آن پیری که دریا بود و دنیا بود
بر جوی بفروخت این باغ بهشتی را
من که باشم تا به جامی نگذرم از آن
تو بزن بر نام شومم داغ زشتی را
چیست این افسانه رنگین عطرآلود
چیست این رویای جادوبار سحر آمیز
کیستند این حوریان این خوشه های نور
جامه هاشان از حریر نازک پرهیز
کوزه ها در دست و بر آن ساقهای نرم
لرزش موج خیال انگیز دامانها
می خرامند از دری بر درگهی آرام
سینه هاشان خفته در آغوش مرجانها
آبها پاکیزه تر از قطره های اشک
نهرها بر سبزه های تازه لغزیده
میوه ها چون دانه های روشن یاقوت
گاه چیده ‚ گاه بر هر شاخه ناچیده
سبز خطانی سرا پا لطف و زیبایی
ساقیان بزم و رهزن های گنج دل
حسنشان جاوید و چشمان بهشتی ها
گاه بر آنان گهی بر حوریان مایل
قصر ها دیوارهاشان مرمر مواج
تخت ها بر پایه هاشان دانه ی الماس
پرده ها چون بالهایی از حریر سبز
از فضاها می ترواد عطر تند یاس
ما در اینجا خاک پای باده و معشوق
ناممان میخوارگان رانده رسوا
تو در آن دنیا می و معشوق می بخشی
مومنان بیگناه پارسا خو را
آن گناه تلخ و سوزانی که در راهش
جان ما را شوق وصلی و شتابی بود
در بهشت ناگهان نام دگر بگرفت
در بهشت بارالها خود ثوابی بود
هر چه داریم از تو داریم ای که خود گفتی
مهر من دریا و خشمم همچو طوفا نست
هر که را من خواهم او را تیره دل سازم
هر که را من برگزینم پاکدامنست
پس دگر ما را چه حاصل زین عبث کوشش

لرزه شد بر سینه های سیمگون افتاد
خنده شد دندان مهرویان نمایان کرد
عکس ساقی شد به جام واژگون افتاد
سحر آوازش در این شبهای ظلمانی
هادی گم کرده راهان در بیابان شد
بانگ پایش در دل محرابها رقصید
برق چشمانش چراغ رهنورردان شد
هر چه زیبا بود بیرحمانه بخشیدیش
در ره زیبا پرستانش رها کردی
آن گه از فریاد های خشم و قهر خویش
گنبد مینای ما را پر صدا کردی
چشم ما لبریز از آن تصویر افسونی
ما به پای افتاده در راه سجود تو
رنگ خون گیرد دمادم در نظرهامان
سرگذشت تیره قوم ثمود تو
خود نشستی تا بر آنها چیره شد آنگاه
چون گیاهی خشک کردیشان ز طوفانی
تندباد خشم تو بر قوم لوط آمد
سوختیشان ‚ سوختی با برق سوزانی
وای از این بازی ‚ از این بازی درد آلود
از چه ما را این چنین بازیچه می سازی
رشته تسبیح و در دست تو می چرخیم
گرم می چرخانی و بیهوده می تازی
چشم ما تا در دو چشم زندگی افتاد
با خطا این لفظ مبهم آشنا گشتیم
تو خطا را آفریدی او بخود جنبید
تاخت بر ما عاقبت نفس خطا گشتیم
گر تو با ما بودی و لطف تو با ما بود
هیچ شیطان را به ما مهری و راهی بود ؟

دام صیادی به دستم داد و رامم کرد

عالمی را پرخروش از بانگ نامم کرد

نیزه های آتشین و خیمه های دود

میوه تلخ درخت وحشی زقوم

ناز ده کس را شرار تازه ای در دل
دوزخش از ضجه های درد خالی بود
دوزخش بیهوده می تابید و می افروخت

سبز خطانی سرا پا لطف و زیبایی
ساقیان بزم و رهزن های گنج دل
حسنشان جاوید و چشمان بهشتی ها
گاه بر آنان گهی بر حوریان مایل
قصر ها دیوارهاشان مرمر مواج
تخت ها بر پایه هاشان دانه ی الماس
پرده ها چون بالهایی از حریر سبز
از فضاها می ترواد عطر تند یاس
ما در اینجا خاک پای باده و معشوق
ناممان میخوارگان رانده رسوا
تو در آن دنیا می و معشوق می بخشی
مومنان بیگناه پارسا خو را
آن گناه تلخ و سوزانی که در راهش
جان ما را شوق وصلی و شتابی بود
در بهشت ناگهان نام دگر بگرفت
در بهشت بارالها خود ثوابی بود
هر چه داریم از تو داریم ای که خود گفتی
مهر من دریا و خشمم همچو طوفا نست
هر که را من خواهم او را تیره دل سازم
هر که را من برگزینم پاکدامنست
پس دگر ما را چه حاصل زین عبث کوشش

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is to visit New York and attend a United Nation conference in mid-September 2009. During the past two months, the people of the world have had a glimpse into the atrocities of the Islamic Republic of Iran committed in its thirty years lifetime: murder, torture, rapes, and violations of basic human rights. We, the undersigned express our strongest objection to the UN for accepting Ahmadinejad's presence - a professional killer. Allowing him to speak on behalf of Iran is the ultimate offence and disrespect to the people of Iran and the world.
Instead of allowing him to speak, we demand that Ahmadinejad be arrested and prosecuted for crimes against humanity, including most recently:
1] The killing of hundreds of protesters following the farce of an 'election'.
2] The systematic rape of those arrested during the recent protests in Kahrizak prison.
3] The torture and humiliation of arrested protesters, fabricated confession-sessions under the guise of 'trials', and the broadcast of the tortured on state television

Ces deux derniers mois, le peuple du monde a eu un aperçu des atrocités commises par la République Islamique d’Iran durant ces trente ans d’existence : assassinats, tortures, viols et violations des droits humains fondamentaux. Nous, signataires, exprimons notre ferme opposition à ce que l’ONU accepte la présence d’Ahmadinejad, un tueur professionnel. L’autoriser à parler au nom de l’Iran serait une offense ultime et un manque de respect pour le peuple d’Iran et du monde.
Plutôt que de l’autoriser à parler, nous demandons qu’Ahmadinejad soit arrêté et jugé pour crimes contre l’humanité, dont les récents crimes suivants :

قرار است در اواسط ماه سپتامبر٬ احمدی نژاد رئیس جمهور ایران به نیویورك و در اجلاس سازمان ملل شركت كندـ مردم دنیا در دو ماه گذشته بر صفحه تلویزیونهای خود نمونه بسیار كوچكی از سه دهه جنایت٬ قتل٬ كشتار و تجاوز به ابتدای ترین حقوق مردم ایران را توسط رژیم اسلامی كه احمدی نژاد رئیس جمهور انست را دیده اندـ
ما امضا كنندگان زیر ضمن اعتراض شدید به سازمان ملل برای راه دادن به یك جانی و ادمكش حرفه ای برای حضور در اجلاس اين سازمان خواهان جلوگیری از حضور احمدی نژاد در سازمان ملل هستیم٬ و فكر می كنیم میكروفون دادن به احمدی نژاد در سازمان ملل توهین و بی حرمتی نه تنها به مردم ایران بلكه به مردم سراسر دنیاست٬ ما قاطعانه خواهان بازداشت احمدی و محاكمه وی به جرم جنایت علیه بشریت هستیم ـ

Ces deux derniers mois, le peuple du monde a eu un aperçu des atrocités commises par la République Islamique d’Iran durant ces trente ans d’existence : assassinats, tortures, viols et violations des droits humains fondamentaux. Nous, signataires, exprimons notre ferme opposition à ce que l’ONU accepte la présence d’Ahmadinejad, un tueur professionnel. We have been working with members of Amnesty International and many other civil and human rights organizations. Tens of thousands have come to see this page as a free source of news and information they can depend on. According to Facebook TOU:
"Facebook Pages may only be used to represent real entities, and may only be created by authorized representatives of the Page subject. Fake or "fan" Pages will be reported and disabled. If you create a fake Page or violate our Terms in any way, your Facebook account may be disabled."
This does NOT apply to the Free Iran page.

According to the TOU: You may only use a Page to promote a business or other commercial, political, or charitable organization or endeavor (including non-profit organizations, political campaigns, bands, and celebrities).
Free Iran has sought no Financial support from its members. Has not "Spammed" any of its members. Has done its best to condemn threats of violence to any specific persons or group and fall within the TOU. If there were specific posts by our staff that violate the TOU we would happily correct the situation but we have not been informed of any such posts.
So far I had my account threatened with being disabled (now removed). and another member had her account completely disabled by Facebook.
We believe the FREE IRAN page falls withing the TOU for political use and should have its rights restored and view this action as political censorship and will not drop the issue here if it is ignored by Facebook.

Many have been killed in the streets, many hundreds have been beaten and injured, and at least 2,000 are reported to have been detained.
Amnesty International has repeatedly issued actions on behalf of individuals at risk and reported on the violent repression of demonstrations and the killing of demonstrators in the aftermath of the presidential elections.
We have condemned use of tear gas by Iranian Security Forces against demonstrators marking the 18 Tir anniversary.
Join the Global Day of Action Demonstration
There will be demonstrations in front of Iranian embassies in at least 50 cities around the world.
The Global day of Action is a coalition event with partners such as International campaign for Human Rights in Iran, International Federation of Human Rights, Human Rights Watch, Reporters without Borders and many others calling for a Global Day Of Action
The global day of action is needed to maintain international pressure on the Iranian Authorities to stop responding with further violence to peaceful demonstrations. The Global Action will also demand the immediate release of hundreds of detainees who are at serious risk of further human rights violations.
Date and Time: July 25 at Noon
If you want to organize an event, please use the colours of yellow and black. You could later remove your yellow or black cloth and tie them to key landmarks. For your banner or poster messages please use one of the following: No More Bloodshed or Peaceful Protest is a Human Right.
