Blackadder
I want to be remembered when I'm dead. I want books written about me. I want songs sung about me. And then, hundreds of years from now, I want episodes of my life to be played out weekly at half past nine by some great heroic actor of the age.

Blackadder final scene.
Final scene of Blackadder series 4. Occassionally hilarious, occassionally deeply poignant. Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Laurie and Tony Robinson go over the top.
Flashheart Blackadder clip
“Treat your woman like you treat your kite…”
Blackadder 2 - Lord Flashheart
Blackadder 2 – Lord Flashheart
Blackadder 3rd - PrinceGeorge
Blackadder 3rd
Black Adder II - "Great Booze Up, Edmund!"
Edmund Blackadder simultaneously hosts a drinking party with friends and a dinner party with Puritan relatives interested in discussing his inheritance… hilarity ensues.
Blackadder and Bob
Scene from Blackadder II, episode 1: Bells. Edmund Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) has fallen in love with his man servant Bob (Gabrielle Glaister), little guessing that he is actually a woman named Kate. Written by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton.
Blackadder and captain Rum
Blackadder meets peculiar captain Rum.

Not being British, I didn't know much about comedy in the UK (except Benny Hill and Mr Bean probably).I discovered Blackadder just a few months ago by chance, while watching some videos about Hugh Laurie. First I found out that Laurie is British (and discovered the amasing Fry as well) and then that Rowan Atkinson is not only Mr Bean but a master of evil too!! I simply fell in love and now I know every single line of the show and can't stop watching it!!
Long live Blackadder!!!

There are so many things about this show that I think are just so great, but above all I think I'd have to say that I love the whole concept of the show. Using notable periods from Britain's history as a setting for a sitcom is simply brilliant, and to my knowledge is also unique. I don't know of any other show that has used such a storytelling device in the same way--although I know just because I personally don't know of any other such shows doesn't mean there aren't any. Anyway, the idea of the show is absolutely genius; I wish someone here in the States would come up with something similar using U.S. history--although these days they probably couldn't even if they wanted to, since so much of U.S. history is now considered "politically incorrect" by certain groups. Still, it would be great if someone in Hollywood could be creative enough to come up with an American-history version of Blackadder and see if it could work here.

Loved it. Blackadder is probably the funniest Tv seies ever created. So should make a 5th seriese lol. Got to say Blackadder 2 was the best, the one with the queen in. And the Christmas Charol one was like the oposite to any normal Christmas Charol because he ended up bad in the end!!!

One of the best series ever to be produced by the BBC, 'Blackadder' is the funniest series I've seen to date. Filled with hilarious characters and drastic situations, this series includes the bitter and sarcastic Blackadder, pea-brained Percy and "thick as a whale-omelette" George, and an even more dull-witted Baldrick ("I've got a cunning plan"), one of television's greatest creations. Classic.

There really are no words to sum up the pure excellence of Blackadder. I don't really find most of rowan atkinson's comedys that funny (for example the terrible mr bean...) but his performance in this show, revised by other quality writers such as Richard Curtis and Ben Elton, he somehow becomes the greatest comedian EVER!!!!!!!

I LOVE blackadder and I can't wait for 2010!!!!!!!
