Melissa so disappointed that St. Louis is not on the tour this year. Left Bank Books was way better than Powell Hall, even though we got to hear "Kookaburra" and "Repeat After Me"... but still, LBB was better...

Mike If I ever go 'gay', it will be for you David!

Shirley Patrick The staff at Auntie's Bookstore in Spokane all had great things to say about him when he appeared here: Humble, friendly, undemanding, stays until the last book is signed and treats everyone with respect. Yeah, "Six to Eight Black Men" has to be one of my favorite stories. I also like the one in which his sister Amy... puts on the bottom half of a fat suit to torture their dad. I think it's in "Me Talk Pretty One Day." The audio books are my favorite...sure make driving fun!

Lia i had to stop reading david's books in public. i laugh so loud and hard its ridiculous. people just stare. i'll never forget when david's brother was kicking the frozen chicken. good times. good times.

Gregory Fogle I was once David's "Best Dressed Customer"!!!!

Lori Brunswick I saw David Sedaris when he came to Modesto, California last April. He was giving away a German edition of "Engulfed in Flames" to the first person who spoke German to him following his performance. I immediately felt ecstatic because I knew some German, but when I got to the lobby, the book-signing line snaked all t...he way across the lobby and back, and I knew it was futile. So my sister suggested that we go outside for a while then come back after the crowd had died down. So we were just about to go, but I wanted to find my ticket stub first, to make sure we got back into the building w/o a hassle. I looked up, and a security guard was coming my way, and there he was, within arms reach. So I put my hands on his shoulder and started speaking German. He told me to follow him, and he autographed his German edition for me as well as my English version, and the 3 books my sister brought. It was a great night and a wonderful momento!

Lindsey Huther I cannot get enough.

Lisa Warning to Sedaris fans...listening to Sedaris books on tape while driving is dangerous to your health! Causes excessive tearing, uncontrollable shaking and gaffawing...not at all appropriate behavior for behind the wheel!

Doris Palmer I was racing through "...Engulfed in Flames" and suddenly wondered why I was reading so fast. Slow down, read slower, make the laughs last as long as possible...

Rejhaun Pugsley I just got "When You Are Engulfed In Flames". I wonder how much better it would be to get the books on tape. Then the stories would read exactly the way they are supposed to. Although, I can barely handle them when I read them. I was wondering about the books title. Then I got to the end and when I realized it I just l...aughed hysterically. I treid to explain it to my husband he just doesn't get it.

Kathy Schifano When I read your essays, I hear your voice in every word. It's like NPR on paper. How do you do that?

Lorie Ann Just finishing "Naked" and can not wait to read "When You Are Engulfed in Flames" and "Me Talk Pretty One Day"! Fantastic wit!

Katie Ward Read the entirety of "Me Talk Pretty One Day" to my fiance and found that I cannot say "Picka Pocketoni" without snort-laughter. Wonderful.

Florence Thank you.
