Luke Yarbrough

Luke Yarbrough I cried when I first read a cummings poem. I believe it was "my father moved through dooms of love", and when I realized how deep he had gone and how much anti-annunciation was used, it killed me. As a musician, I've used Cummings as one of my major lyrical influences, and it's his avant-garde style that keeps me hooke...d on reading and writing.

cummings for existence !!!!

E. E. Cummings This has been posted repeatedly on the page long time ago, but many people are wondering why the poet's name is capitalized, and this essay should clear it up.

It may at first seem of little import, but for a poet who paid such exacting attention to typography, it must be said once and for all that his name should be written and printed with the usual capital letters in their usual places: "E. E. Cummings.''

I (the admin of this page) disagree with you folks; I have my own opinion regarding this matter (the 1st-personalization of Cummings' voice), but then we're here to enjoy his poetry not to argue... plus its going to appear on your walls, so its only right to omit the creepiness you think it is.
So I (the admin) apologize for all the creepiness.
