
Loretta Pirozzi Ms. Pirozzi is Italian. No matter what I cook the first two ingredients are olive oil and garlic. I love the fall when the variety garlics hit the Market. I've found some excellent potent varieties. I like to try them all (except the elephant garlic, it's just way too mild).

Sid Chait Here's what we did when I was growing up. Get some fresh bread from the Jewish bakery with a really good crust (pumpernickel or rye). Cut a clove of garlic in half dip it in salt and rub it on the crust of buttered bread...yum!
