I have just purchased an awesome beautiful Satio Red U1i. I love the phone so I create this topic with hope that SE will take a look and make the phone even better with the next firmware release!!! Help SE, everyone!

1. Default "Favorite" photo tag shows a "aircraft" icon instead of "star" icon on individual photo.
2. Log, call function do not follow setting of "Display Name" in Contacts settings. I set it to be "Last name First name", and besides Contacts, SMS; other functions such as Log, Call switched back to default "First name Last name" display.
3. With active wireless connection, the phone crashed and restarted randomly...
4. Could not choose where to save Caller Picture ID thumbnail. It's automatically saved on phone memory.

I suggest:
1. Better list of images when choosing to add picture to a contact, it's currently a simple long list with very short height, it kills me when i have more than 100 photos and trying to scroll to select a photo i want...
2. OTA update, PLEASE! and don't wipe my data during every single upgrade. Nokia N97 does not do this anymore...
3. Better support and more content for Vietnam region, PlayNow for us is so poor where music, apps, games are not available.

5. Message save location switched back to Phone Memory when using the phone as Mass Storage with Windows Vista/7

Suggestions:

5. Making Log to be able to update its records when new contacts added or modified. Also, the Name display rule should follow Contacts Name display rule as well and change when Contacts Name display changes.

6. Closing Log and/or Contacts automatically after a call is made. Right now, I have to go to close each of those apps manually since it still runs on the background after i make my call.

1000 mah battery is very poor my satio phone fully charged at 7am i was at work today listened to music for 20 minutes sent 6 text messages for the day, went on you tube for ten minutes went on the poor mobile version of facebook for 15 minutes, made a 5 minute phone call, by the time i was leaving work at 3pm the battery was dead!? my broken k800 lasted all day im so vex. i complained to T mobile today and i think they are going to try and send me a more powerfull battery i hope.

also when i get text messages i do not get a name just numbers? but when i get a phone call the satio displays names?

The naming issue on messages is a t-mobile issue, apparently. It only occurs on T-mobile branded phones.
SE tols me they were working on it but unless they pop round and fix my phone at work tomorrow, I'm taking it back to find something else.

7. make it receive bluetoothed files and save them automatically rather than create a message for each bloody one!
8. make ir recognise all the contacts sent to it from other SE phones, not just the first. This won't help the rest of us but it will certainly help keep new owners happy until they start configuring the phone.
9. sort out the goddamned awful menu system... make it like an SE phone, not a nokia.
10. Themes... let the theme set the wallpaper!
11. media listing... what's it like trying to add a picture to a contact when the file list shows every picture on the phone in a stupid little file requester?
12. same as 11 for music files. When you've ripped 20 albums to the phone, you gotta scroll through all of them to find your newest ringtone!

13. xvid/divx support

i know i feel so let down by sony ericsson ive always had their phones i waited almost a year for the satio. since im on t mobile i cant get an IPHONE so if this new battery t mobile sending me flops i mite just get t mobile to give me BlackBerry Bold 9700 relutently

14. make the image displayer honour directories. I see a post from another user that wants to rotate pictures from selected folders as wallpaper but it will display every one... there could well be something embarrassing there for him!

p.s i know i tryed to bluetooth my old music and pics from my k800i and they all went to my message inbox! all 233 files in the end i gave u and transfered my k800i from my laptop to satio.

Only Samsung I've had was ludicrously badly thought out but it was the one featured in Matrix 2 LOL. Dunno what their top phones are like nowadays.
My daughters have Cookie and Viewty and they look/feel pretty good if a little dated so I might look into their current models.

I'm loathe to leave the SE stable but they don't seem to have anything better than my old C902 on offer. Don't mention the 905 'cos it's just too ugly and wouldn't fit in my pocket, anyway!

i was looking at nokia n97 but to ugly, i dont like c905 hate sliding phones, i did think of c902 but to old, well at the moment looks like if sony e dont pull there socks up i mite be getting a BlackBerry Bold 9700 instead by 18/11/09

why does satio not have a facebook application the mobile internet facebook terriable i used my mates BlackBerry Bold 9700 and it handled facebook with ease.

i was ready to give satio back to t mobile today but the said they would send me bigger battery so i will wait.

cos phones companys doing 18 - 24 month contracts its even more important to get a well balenced phone

p.s samsung phones are terriable i cant firgue out software even to make a call from phone book lol

t mobile do HTC TOUCH 2 but it got REALLY bad reviews nearest thing to satio i think

how is anyone elses satio battery mines (while at work) lasted 8 hours before dying with not alot of usege n i found out today the satio on the internet does not format to fit the mobile screen?

That's another PITA.

No, it doesn't format to fit the screen so the text is incredibly small unless you zoom (to 130% will fit the widescreen) but the next page is back to the default. Often you'll find the text is still only barely legible at 130% and need to go larger and scroll left/right to read pages. T-Mobiles default page is a case in point. Well done, T-M! Not.

There is an option to change text size but it works in exactly the same way as it does in your PC browser - i.e. there are not that many sites that are compliant so it doesn't work at all for the most part.

So there you go...

If you'd just look at any thread you'd find the answer to that.

o2 haven't taken it off because SE never provide one.
There is a symbian fb app and installation instructions can be found in reply to almost every question such as yours.

ive never used voice dialling cos its a crap feature lol t mobile sent me the anther battery today and its 930 mah smaller then satios 1000 mah lol and dont even fit in the phone lol but a mircle happed today the satio lasted from 7am till 7pm n it still in the green? with same use as previous two days im confused? battery needs breaking in maybe?

Ah these points are moot anyway. SE aren't going to take any notice of them.

I'm not bothered any more, anyway, since I just cancelled the contract.

The Samsung Pixon12 looks nice and there's always the W995 or C902 proper SE phones.

Think I'll try and have a play with them so I don't get caught out like this again.

well ive called t mobile today and sending back the pnone for another satio to see if it was just a battery problem with the phone i had as i actually like the phone apart from little things that mite get fixed by firm ware updates hopefully
